A new exciting opportunity has become available for a Lead Ceramist to join a lovely, forward thinking Dental Laboratory located in Thatcham, Berkshire.
Start date – As soon as possible.
The purpose of this position is to maintain and improve patient oral health by fabricating Porcelain Crown & Bridge protheses according to dentist prescription.
This will be a full time role, working Monday – Friday. Working hours each day will be 8am – 5pm with 1 hour for lunch.
Job duties:
- Able to produce 10 high quality ceramic units per day and to the clients satisfaction
- Utilise and conserve supplied and equipment by working efficiently
- Maintain supplies inventories to ensure adequate levels are always maintained
- Order components and materials
- Use equipment only as instructed
- Ensure regular maintenance of equipment
- Ensure customers and staff are well supported, informed and developed
- Contact dentists to discuss case specific requirements
- Encourage use of new systems and techniques
- Help other members of staff by good ‘team work’ and help develop their knowledge by sharing experience
- Improve quality results by studying, evaluating and re-designing processes and implementing changes
- Completing forms, reports, logs and records
- Updating Dental Technician job knowledge and skills by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations.
- Enhance Dental Laboratory reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
- Exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
This is a forward thinking Full Service Laboratory who produce products for the PVT sector. It is a medium sized lab with approximately 40 employees, 30 of which are Dental Technicians.
This role is to specialise in Ceramics, the successful candidate will join a team of 5 Ceramist Technicians which will continue to grow.
Salary – ranging from 25k – 45k per annum, this is dependent on experience, qualifications and to be discussed further at interview stage.
All applicants must show a high level of technical ability, great customer service skills, procedural skills, documentation skills, attention to detail and verbal communication.
In order to apply, candidates must be GDC registered and have experience as a Dental Ceramist in a Dental Laboratory.
